Unused Gear

Note: There are a LOT of unused gear entries inside the Mush data to document, including models?

Splatoon 1 contains a lot of unused gear data inside the Mush data, including ability-named gear, and a lot of test Splatfest-tees.

Invisible Gear

If you tried to equip any type of invisible gear, the gear would be shown as invisible. No matter what build of the game you would try to use. But inside the models, the gear contains beta & E3 Gear. In this list, we will show their model, and how they looked like.

Hed_Invisible

This gear was most likely created when Splatoon had the idea to be about around rabbits.

Clt_Invisible

This gear contains an early icon leftover from Super Mario Maker Wii U. It are present inside "/Layout/ItemIcon_00.szs."

Shs_Invisible

This gear also contains an early icon leftover from Super Mario Maker Wii U. It is also present inside "/Layout/ItemIcon_00.szs."

Splatoon Global Testfire Gear

SUP000 (Splatoon pre-purchase gear)

If you had played the Splatoon 1 Global Testfire and decided to pre-purchase the game, you would have these exclusive gear while the Testfire was still available. The gear models would not have been included in the first release (1.0.0). However, the gear models appeared back in the files since update v80 (1.3.0) and you still couldn't equip the gear.

There are quite a lot of Test Gear in the Mush Data...

SUP001 (Squid Research Lab gear)

The gears are leftover SRL (Squid Research Lab) gear. The developers would use them for events, such as the Global Testfire. The gear models were not included in the release (1.0.0) but appeared back in the files since update v80 (1.3.0)

Ability Named Gears

There are about 17 Clothing Gear, 17 Head Gear, and 16 Shoe Gear with their name as Ability names. While they have their names named after abilities, they also use the same ability on the gear.

Test_Clt_HAPXXXX

There are about 106 of those Test Gears. Those test gears are Splatfest-tee's testing gear. You cannot use them, as it will make you crash, as it tries loading non-existent models. There are quite a lot of them, in the list down below.
